The Otago Peninsula is only a 45-minute drive from Cumberland Motel and here you will find large albatross birds, penguins and wildlife. It's an amazing spot to explore and the wildlife is very unique. Larnach Castle is also a place worth visiting – it is New Zealand's only castle. Dunedin Airport is approximately 35 minutes from Cumberland Motel and Baldwin Street, the world's steepest street, is a short walk up the road.
